8 Months

Happy 8 months little babe!
I keep telling Chris that it still feels like she's 3 months,
it's too weird how fast time flies!

Poor thing's had a cold this week,
so don't mind the snot in the pictures :)
Everything is pretty saturated around here.

As you can see, one of her favorite new tricks
is standing and leaning on things.
She's starting to take steps when we hold onto her hands.
She's not quite crawling, but rolls and scoots all over the place.

She's just getting more of a personality all the time.
She looooves attention and hates being left alone.

Still no teeth, but I love that little gummy smile.
She continues to talk more and more and loooves being loud.

She's being doing really well being left with my mom
when I go to work.
It just about melts my heart, though, when I come home
and she lights up and starts squealing and bouncing.
I think she knows I'm her mama!!

We've actually had some warm days here,
and her favorite things are going on the swings and
watching all of her cousins bounce on the trampoline.

I think Scarlett is going to be some kind of musician.
Whenever music starts playing (especially if it's Chris)
she starts dancing and singing along.  It's pretty adorable.

She loves her bathtime!
I tried to replicate a friend's bath photo cause I thought it was so cute.

Love this doll baby!!

To my Birthday Boy

Today is a wonderful day- Chris's birthday!!
It's one of my favorite holidays cause we get to celebrate
the life of my most favorite man.
I don't want to say it's "unfortunate" cause it's not,
but his birthday always ends up on general conference haha.
So we celebrated his birthday yesterday.

We took Scarlett to the aquarium
(not the best timing during opening week-it was an absolute madhouse).
Then we got ice cream, dropped the bean off with my parents,
and went and saw a movie.
Not my most original of dates, but it's what he wanted :)

I am just the luckiest girl in the world to spend the rest of my
life with this handsome guy.
He is my best friend and the greatest daddy in the world.

I hope you have a wonderful day, my love!
I love you more than anything!

Overly Photographed

I am completely aware that I take way too many
pictures of this little bean,
but I'm always wanting to practice with  my camera
and editing.
If anyone wants pictures taken, let me know!
I'd love the extra practice, especially with trying out
different ages.
I can't wait for it to get warmer so I can do some outdoor shoots!!

7 (and 1/2) months

We're a little late due to our vacation,
but this little girlie is over 7 months old now!!

She is so much fun and has loads of personality.
I just want to play with her all day long!

Speaking of personality:
she is such a sweet and happy little babe, but she can be sassy!
She's getting to the stage of knowing what she wants
and how she can get it.
She's almost perfected her fake cry when things aren't going her way,
but she's not foolin anyone!

Her favorite things are babbling, squealing at the top of her lungs,
hanging upside down, being held, playing peek-a-boo,
and stealing the attention of anyone and everyone in the room.
She knows how to work a crowd, that's for sure.

She's starting to figure out how to  move, which I'm
excited for, but also dreading!
It'll be much harder when I have to chase around a little crawler :)
But I think we've still got a little time, she's just
now starting to do some army scoots.

We call her our little bat.

I can't wait for it to get warmer so we can swing alllll day long.

We're having spring fever over here, we're kind
of tired of bundling up :)

I'm convinced that Carter's does not cater to the
large headed gal :)
It covers about half her noggin.

We went to California!
We were able to see Todd and Christine in Vegas,
and then Scarlett got to spend a whole week with Mammo and Poppo
while we went on our cruise.
She had the time of her life!
She almost didn't want to come back to us.

Happy 7 months Scarlett Claire!

6 Months

Happy half birthday to my big girl!!
This past month has probably been one of the funnest with her,
she's learned so many new things!
First is that she's now sitting up like a champ,
which makes photo shoots soooo much easier.
(I like this next picture because it shows off her little
tootsie roll arms quite nicely)

Sitting up also really helps with keeping her entertained.
We can just plop some toys in front of her and she's good to go.
However, now that she can have a nice view of the world,
she really hates lying down while she's awake,
which doesn't help with our problem of her still not rolling over haha.
Oh well, I figure it'll come sooner or later.

The absolute BIGGEST, most exciting news for this month
is that she finally slept through the night!!
I've been waiting for the day for what seems like forever
to actually get a good night's rest.
I thought it might be a fluke the first time, but so far it's
been about five days in a row, so fingers crossed!!

She laughs a lot more,
wiggles around a ton (especially during her cute "diaper dance"),
can find her pacifier in her crib and plug herself when she's cranky,
has extremely smelly toots now that she eats solids,
is starting to get separation anxiety when I leave the room,
is starting to babble (I'm convinced she says mama on purpose!)
and is starting to reach out for us (too precious!).

This is one of my all time favorite pictures.
Her little pink fluffy princess dress absolutely kills me, it's so adorable.

Oh, now that she sits up, the possibilities are endless!
She can finally be in a grocery cart without having to lug the car seat in, hooray!!

Aaaaand, she had her first big girl bath!!

Sometimes, we match by accident.

I really don't mean to, but when it does happen, I think it's pretty cute haha.

Oh and this is what Scarlett decided to leave for me
for her six month birthday.  Love it.

She really is a bouncing queen.
As if we need her thighs to be any bigger, they are going to get
so strong with how much she loves to jump.
If it's not in the bouncer, it's on our laps, she goes nonstop.
Well, until she is so tired that she falls asleep in it...

She's just getting cuter and more fun by the day!
Happy 6 months, little love!!

SO Proud!!

Today is a beautiful, glorious, momentous day!!
One for the record books, hence why I'm dedicating a blog to it.
Because today....well....last night...
she did it...it happened...
SHE SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!!
Hooooorrraaaayyy!
Can you tell I'm just a tiny bit excited about this?
Scarlett is almost 6 months old and has been
waking up every 2-3 hours for nearly her whole life.
It's been exhausting, to say the least.
She fell asleep at 10:00 last night
and I woke up at 5 in the morning wondering
if I was so out of it that I fed her and didn't remember.
It's quite possible, but I don't think that was the case.
My body wasn't used to going so long without feeding her,
so rather than enjoying the extra sleep I had to wake up to pump.
When I got back in bed and turned on the monitor,
I about screamed when I saw her wide glowing eyes staring straight
into the camera.
She was wide awake and flailing around.  I figured she
would for sure start crying since it'd been so long since she ate,
so I just stayed awake waiting for her to make some noise.
But after about a half hour of wiggling around,
she fell back asleep!!
And she slept until 9:00 in the morning!!!
I seriously couldn't believe it, I thought it was too good to be true.
I never thought I would be SO excited and proud about
something like this...
but after six months and feeling like it was NEVER going to happen,
I am one proud and rested mama :)
Hopefully it will become a more regular thing!!!
