4 months

I'm in denial that I no longer have a newborn!
But I'm also kind of glad.  The first 3 months are the hardest, in my opinion.
It's so much fun once they get a little older and start showing more personality
(and when they start letting you get a little more sleep!)

This little guy is such a treasure!  I just want to smooch his cheeks all day long.
His weight and height are holding steady in the 50th percentiles,
with a gigantic head still, of course.

We had physical therapy a couple of weeks ago to evaluate his range of motion
and his flat head.  The therapist thought he did really well and doesn't
suspect he'll need a helmet if we keep doing our exercises.  Fingers crossed!

Becks literally spits up all day long.  I've never seen such a pukey baby.
He and I are soaking wet all the time.
And sometimes Scarlett- the other day she was standing to the side of us
when Beckham did his usual gush and it landed perfectly on the top of her head.
Haha, poor thing didn't realize she was in the splash zone.

He's sleeping better!  Woohoo!!  He did an 8 hour stretch the other night.
I was so proud....but I should probably start going to bed before 12 or 1 so that
I can actually take advantage of those extra hours.
After 4 years of working nights, it's really hard to get to bed early.

Little Beckster is such a sweetheart.
Not to toot my own horn, but I think he's a mama's boy :)
That's probably because we don't see Chris too often, being in dental school.
He's super happy and smiley most of the time (except when I try to take pictures of him).
And he's still a tender soul and gets offended if you don't pay enough attention to him.

Oh, he rolled over for the first time the other day!
I don't pay a whole lot of attention to when babies "should" be doing things this time around,
maybe this is really late for rolling over?  Ha, I don't know.
But I put him down for his dreaded tummy time and I said
"Beckham, when are you going to finally roll over?"
And he immediately started to!
So I pulled out my camera and got it on video- mom win-
I love capturing their "firsts"!

We sure love this lil pumpkin!!

Whenever he starts giggling, he immediately gets the hiccups

Scarlett is 2!

We've got a 2-year-old on our hands!  Ah!
I'm so scared for the "terrible-twos",
especially since Scarlett has been strong-willed and stubborn
for quite a while already.
BUT, she is also the sweetest and happiest little girl I know.

Scarlett's favorite movie is Monsters University,
so I made that her "theme", though I didn't go all-out like I did for her 1st birthday.

I attempted doing "mike wyzowski" cupcakes...
haha meaning green cool whip and oreo creams for the eyeballs.

We had lots of fun at her swim party with all of her new friends in Omaha.

Beckham didn't have as much fun, though ;)

Scarlett's tricks:
-counting to 10, and sometimes up to 15 (rarely in order though)
usually she says "4, 9, 10!"
-summersaults! she's rocking them.  And now she's in her first gymnastics class.
Her teacher says she loves the "high" bar.  She also loves trying to do the splits.
-Jumping and hopping
-Running:  She sprints away from me whenever she gets the chance.  And now
loves to find anything that she can get on the opposite side of (car, coffee table, dumpster)
and run around so I can't catch her.  She's getting FAST.  Drives me nuts.
-Favorite new phrase "No!  Stop it!  Go away!" Thanks to the little
girl sitting in front of us in church a couple weeks ago...
-Favorite movies: Monsters U, Toy Story, and "Food show" (cloudy with a chance of meatballs)
-Loves "exercising" with mommy and daddy: aka trying to copy the things we do
but eventually giving up and just climbing on top of us and giving hugs
while we're on the ground doing abs.
-Favorite foods: mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, soup, cheese, and grapes.
Oh...and "pops" (lollipops)
-Still not potty trained....we tried working on it and I decided we'd give it a little more time ha.

This picture shows her personality perfectly.
So happy, spunky, and full of life and gusto.

Scarlett is such a sweetheart and adds so much joy to our lives.
Happy 2nd birthday, Ettie girl!!

3 months

Little Beck is 3 months old now!
He finally seems like he's not a newborn anymore.
He's more sturdy, more smiley, and showing more and more personality each day.

From what I've seen, it seems like he's going to be a sensitive soul
with a tender heart :)
He gets his feelings hurt pretty easily
and has a pretty great lower lip quiver to preceed his meltdowns.

I finally got him into the pediatrician!
I was a bit surprised by his percentages since I'm used to Scarlett being
in the 90th percentiles for everything.
He's 40th % for weight, 20th% for height (poor lil shorty!),
and 90TH for head!  Ha!
All my kids are going to have gigantic heads.
It's also pretty mis-shapen.
We have to do exercises with him and possibly need to go to physical therapy
to avoid a helmet, ah!
He loves his playmat, watching Scarlett entertain him (when she's not kicking him in the face
or laying on top of him with her "hugs")
and is starting to discover his hands.

Still no giggle, but he's getting SO close!
I'm predicting any day now!

 Boo, we hate the hiccups!
(And mommy trying to have a photoshoot during them)

We love this little man so much!
Happy three months!

2 Months

Happy 2 months, Beckham Christopher!
He has been the perfect addition to our little family
and the time is flying by.
I admit I am just a little obsessed with his cuteness
and I love taking pictures of him!
(Probably too many, but I couldn't help myself)

Unfortunately with the craziness of the move,
he hasn't had his 2 month appointment so I don't know his current stats :(
But he's finally fitting into some of his 0-3 month clothes
and they are adorable.
I just got this bow tie and about died when I saw it on him-
I never expected I would love dressing a boy so much!

His little smiles and coos kill me!
He's a pretty good baby for the most part.
Still a little fussy during the day but a complete champ at night.
The last couple nights he's done 6-7 hour stretches and I feel like a new woman
from all the rest :)

Oh his little balding head haha.
I'm denying it for as long as I can and still do the half-head Mohawk.

His cuddles are the best.
Chris told me today that he thinks Beck will be a mama's boy.
I sure hope that's true.
Scarlett's all about her daddy so I gotta get my turn!

Oh the joys of having two kids all over us all the time haha.

I don't remember exactly what happened at the moment this pic
was taken, but I could probably take a guess.
Scarlett is still learning how to be gentle and I fear for Beckham
every time she comes near ha.

He had his first 4th of July!
Daddy was already in Omaha and we were still in Utah
so it was a quiet celebration with the 3 of us :)
He slept soundly through all of the fireworks.

Ha goobery smiles are my favorite.

It was so hard to say goodbye to all of my family in Utah!
We miss them all like crazy already.

First plane ride- on our way to our new home!
He did really well-
though I couldn't have handled both kids without my mama there with me.

Reunited finally!!

Even in our empty, couchless living room,
we were loving life in our new home.

Again- DIED over this bow tie.
Chris initially thought I was overreacting with my excitement over it,
but then even he admitted how adorable it was.
I'm thinking the next one should be matching daddy/son bow ties :)

These three are my whole world!
Happy 2 months sweet boy!
Thank you for your sweet spirit!
(Excuse Scarlett's stink face, she gets pretty serious about watching Toy Story)

More to come on our Omaha adventures-
we love it here so far!

Suprise Family Photos

I was asked to take these family photos for a friend
and was a little nervous since I've never done a big group before-
but I think they turned out super cute!
It was so fun to work with this sweet family!
