6 months

My little guy had his half birthday yesterday- so crazy!

I'm just kind of obsessed with him :)
He's so squishy and cuddly and happy, I love it!
AND, his puking has decreased dramatically this last month, yay!

His doctor's appointment isn't for a couple of days so I don't know his percentages,
but his head continues to be huge..and lopsided.
I had an appointment at the helmet clinic and we're probably going to get one in
the next couple of weeks.
So I'll have a toddler in double casts and a baby in a helmet,
haha my poor kids!
Hopefully they'll thank me someday :)

Look!  He has some hair!  Haha, so surprising compared to Scarlett
who was bald until she was one.

Beckham's first time on the swings was pure joy- it was so cute.

He's such a patient little brother,
he lets Scarlett play "doctor" with him.

Beeeest buddies

He's starting to sit up on his own!
He can go for a minute or so by himself, or he'll just chill with the help of the boppy.
Also he's finally rolling both ways, and he loves the freedom of moving around.

Morning snuggles with these two are my absolute favorite.

Scarlett asked to take a nap in the crib with Beck.

His first Halloween was a success as a little giraffe.

And mommy tortured him by making him sit in a pumpkin :)

Love this handsome boy of mine!

Here's videos of his first time trying formula and going on the swings

5 months, Scarlett comparisons, and an Iphone dump

Lil Beckster is 5 months old and we're loving it!
He's such a fun little dude!
I love when they start getting not-so-squishy and a little sturdier.

I think he's going to be sitting up on his own soon!
I thought that would make pictures easier.....but it was the opposite.
He won't just lay back against the pillow, he wants to pull himself up and then just falls
to the side, hence Christopher's hand holding him up ha.
I'm sorry for the picture overload, but this is the first time Chris has been
at the photoshoot to help make him smile!
(And I'm kind of obsessed with his sweet cheeks and little dimple)

 New tricks:
He rolls from his tummy to his back and is SUPER close to going the other way too!
He reaches for things and puts them in his mouth,
and it's my favorite thing in the world when he reaches and touches my face and smiles :)
He sucks on his bottom lip all day long and makes funny noises.

 His persistent not-so-happy tricks:
Still wakes up every few hours in the night :(
Still pukes like a mad man....though I think it MIGHT be slowing down....maybe.
Still hates tummy time, but loves that he can get himself out of it now by rolling.
Still has a flat head.....we have an appointment with the helmet clinic to see if he needs
to get one, booooo.

I love baby boy clothes!

I did an Iphone dump of Beckham.
Here's my snuggly boys at the pumpkin patch.
Sometimes I hear juicy toots and have to use my phone's camera to check if he's leaking
out the backside.  This was my reaction to a positive finding..

If he's ever cranky, I can take him outside and he's instantly soothed.
Poor little man got attacked by bugs and this was the unfortunate placement of one of his bites haha.
Gotta love bow ties.
My heart could literally explode with love.

Remember how I said his pukes might be slowing down?
Well when he still does, they're often huge lakes like this one.
At least I avoided the damage this time.

Here's my favorite pics from the month.
I wanted to see if he and Scarlett looked alike because we really didn't think
they did.
But I was so surprised when I put them side-by-side!!
They actually look like siblings!  Haha
Love these little toads so much!
Happy five months Beckham!!

4 months

I'm in denial that I no longer have a newborn!
But I'm also kind of glad.  The first 3 months are the hardest, in my opinion.
It's so much fun once they get a little older and start showing more personality
(and when they start letting you get a little more sleep!)

This little guy is such a treasure!  I just want to smooch his cheeks all day long.
His weight and height are holding steady in the 50th percentiles,
with a gigantic head still, of course.

We had physical therapy a couple of weeks ago to evaluate his range of motion
and his flat head.  The therapist thought he did really well and doesn't
suspect he'll need a helmet if we keep doing our exercises.  Fingers crossed!

Becks literally spits up all day long.  I've never seen such a pukey baby.
He and I are soaking wet all the time.
And sometimes Scarlett- the other day she was standing to the side of us
when Beckham did his usual gush and it landed perfectly on the top of her head.
Haha, poor thing didn't realize she was in the splash zone.

He's sleeping better!  Woohoo!!  He did an 8 hour stretch the other night.
I was so proud....but I should probably start going to bed before 12 or 1 so that
I can actually take advantage of those extra hours.
After 4 years of working nights, it's really hard to get to bed early.

Little Beckster is such a sweetheart.
Not to toot my own horn, but I think he's a mama's boy :)
That's probably because we don't see Chris too often, being in dental school.
He's super happy and smiley most of the time (except when I try to take pictures of him).
And he's still a tender soul and gets offended if you don't pay enough attention to him.

Oh, he rolled over for the first time the other day!
I don't pay a whole lot of attention to when babies "should" be doing things this time around,
maybe this is really late for rolling over?  Ha, I don't know.
But I put him down for his dreaded tummy time and I said
"Beckham, when are you going to finally roll over?"
And he immediately started to!
So I pulled out my camera and got it on video- mom win-
I love capturing their "firsts"!

We sure love this lil pumpkin!!

Whenever he starts giggling, he immediately gets the hiccups

Scarlett is 2!

We've got a 2-year-old on our hands!  Ah!
I'm so scared for the "terrible-twos",
especially since Scarlett has been strong-willed and stubborn
for quite a while already.
BUT, she is also the sweetest and happiest little girl I know.

Scarlett's favorite movie is Monsters University,
so I made that her "theme", though I didn't go all-out like I did for her 1st birthday.

I attempted doing "mike wyzowski" cupcakes...
haha meaning green cool whip and oreo creams for the eyeballs.

We had lots of fun at her swim party with all of her new friends in Omaha.

Beckham didn't have as much fun, though ;)

Scarlett's tricks:
-counting to 10, and sometimes up to 15 (rarely in order though)
usually she says "4, 9, 10!"
-summersaults! she's rocking them.  And now she's in her first gymnastics class.
Her teacher says she loves the "high" bar.  She also loves trying to do the splits.
-Jumping and hopping
-Running:  She sprints away from me whenever she gets the chance.  And now
loves to find anything that she can get on the opposite side of (car, coffee table, dumpster)
and run around so I can't catch her.  She's getting FAST.  Drives me nuts.
-Favorite new phrase "No!  Stop it!  Go away!" Thanks to the little
girl sitting in front of us in church a couple weeks ago...
-Favorite movies: Monsters U, Toy Story, and "Food show" (cloudy with a chance of meatballs)
-Loves "exercising" with mommy and daddy: aka trying to copy the things we do
but eventually giving up and just climbing on top of us and giving hugs
while we're on the ground doing abs.
-Favorite foods: mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, soup, cheese, and grapes.
Oh...and "pops" (lollipops)
-Still not potty trained....we tried working on it and I decided we'd give it a little more time ha.

This picture shows her personality perfectly.
So happy, spunky, and full of life and gusto.

Scarlett is such a sweetheart and adds so much joy to our lives.
Happy 2nd birthday, Ettie girl!!

3 months

Little Beck is 3 months old now!
He finally seems like he's not a newborn anymore.
He's more sturdy, more smiley, and showing more and more personality each day.

From what I've seen, it seems like he's going to be a sensitive soul
with a tender heart :)
He gets his feelings hurt pretty easily
and has a pretty great lower lip quiver to preceed his meltdowns.

I finally got him into the pediatrician!
I was a bit surprised by his percentages since I'm used to Scarlett being
in the 90th percentiles for everything.
He's 40th % for weight, 20th% for height (poor lil shorty!),
and 90TH for head!  Ha!
All my kids are going to have gigantic heads.
It's also pretty mis-shapen.
We have to do exercises with him and possibly need to go to physical therapy
to avoid a helmet, ah!
He loves his playmat, watching Scarlett entertain him (when she's not kicking him in the face
or laying on top of him with her "hugs")
and is starting to discover his hands.

Still no giggle, but he's getting SO close!
I'm predicting any day now!

 Boo, we hate the hiccups!
(And mommy trying to have a photoshoot during them)

We love this little man so much!
Happy three months!
